PALTEM Division
With increasing global urbanization and industrialization,
many more pipelines for gas, potable water, sewer, oil, telecommunication
and power cables have been installed underground, underwater,
in buildings and in factories. Maintenance of such pipelines
is crucial; however, it is often difficult and has become a
growing problem these days. The PALTEM (Pipeline Automatic Lining
SysTEM) was developed as an effective and inexpensive solution
for this problem.
PALTEM is now available in four types: PALTEM-HL (Hose
Lining Method), PALTEM-SZ (New Pipe Building Method), PALTEM
Flow-Ring (Renewal Method for Large-bore Sewer Conduits)
and Tension Guide (Installation Method of optical fiber cables
within an existing sewer pipe).
①The PALTEM-HL Method requires only two work pits at the
start and end points of the pipe - for feeding and receiving.
The PALTEM-HL Method can be used to line the inner surface
of even complex pipelines with bends. The system uses PAL-Liner,
specially-made hose constructed of a woven jacket coated
with synthetic elastomer. PAL-Liner is exceptionally durable,
waterproof, and airtight. It is inserted into the pipeline
while it is turned inside out. A long, seamless, cured
pipe can be quickly constructed within an existing pipe,
effectively rehabilitation a worn-out pipeline system.
PALTEM-HL Method has many patents and patents pending in
Japan and abroad, and continues to lead the way with new
ideas. ②PALTEM-SZ Method is a newly developed method whereby
a special composite material sheet is formed into a tube-like
configuration. Drawn into the pipeline, it is fitted to
the inner surface of the pipeline and is cured, forming
a new FRP pipe within an existing pipe. ③PALTEM Flow-Ring System
is for the Large-bore sewer conduits medium and large diameter
of the sewer and irrigation water pipe, of which design can
be freely made to meet the shape of the existing pipe and job
site conditions. ④Tension Guide Method has been developed for
the purpose of carring-out FTTH (Fiber To The Home) using a
sewer pipe.
